Graduated from the Biological Faculty of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov State University in 1982 and defended PhD thesis in the specialization of Biochemistry (03.00.04) at the specialized council of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University in 1994. Obtained the title of Senior Researcher in the specialization of Pharmacology (14.03.05) in 2003. Defended doctoral dissertation in the specialization of Biochemistry (03.00.04) at the specialized council of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University in 2012.

Author of 335 scientific publications, 10 articles in scientific databases (Web of Science, Scopus), 17 educational and methodical publications, articles in professional publications in Ukraine, articles in foreign publications, 31 patents, and 6 monographs. I am a member of the specialized academic council K 41.051.06 (Biochemistry, Microbiology) and the specialized academic council D 41.563.01 (Dentistry). I am the supervisor of 2 scientific topics and the responsible executor of 8 scientific topics. I am also a scientific consultant at Odesa Biotechnology Scientific and Production Association.

Research interests include investigating the mechanisms of adaptogens' regulatory effects, justifying the use of plant bioregulators for the prevention and treatment of common contemporary diseases, developing new drugs and dietary supplements containing phytoadaptogens and bioflavonoids, and conducting preclinical and laboratory clinical studies of these agents. I also study the biochemical mechanisms (antioxidant, antiproteolytic, antiphospholipase) regulating bone tissue metabolism by flavonoids, and I justify the elastase concept of osteodestructive processes. I also research the development of dysbiosis and metabolic syndrome, and the prevention of these conditions using pre-, pro-, and synbiotics.
